Apply for Fastag

It is easier to apply for a Fastag online , while there are multiple options provided by the Government of India and NHAI , to apply for fastags online , but an easier way to apply it online is by making an application at the Paytm Fastag Portal where you can easily apply for Fastag online on the Paytm . To apply for a Fastag on Paytm you have to follow the below process :

1. Open paytm app and click apply for Fastag
2. You shall be taken to your browser in mobile then enter your vehicle number
3. It will either ask for vehicle pdf file or an image of the registration of the vehicle
4. Then it shall also require the owner details and ID proofs or KYC Documents of the owner including Aadhar card or PAN Card .
5. Then the pictures of the vehicle and owner both have to be uploaded on the Fastag pannel opened by Paytm.

Once all details are provided and a Fastag number or barcode is generated you can get it printed from any mearby shop and paste it on the main screen of your vehicle or on the back of the vehicle . Also , once it is alloted , the Fastag will also be sent on the registered address of the applicant as provided in Aadhaar card or on address of the vehicle owner given on the registration documents.

Benefits of Using Fastag

Before without Fastags you were requried to stop at the toll plazas and at the police stoppages to check your vehicle movement checked by showing them the toll tax payment slips and road taxes and vehicle documents to the road department agents and to multiple agencies . But soon after the launching of the fastags movement across district borders was made so smooth that the drivers are no more required to stop or pay any bribe to any official for further moving their vehicle.

Some key benefits provided by this step to the vehicle owners is that :

1. They don’t need any separate pass to move accross districts .
2. They don’t have to pay cash at the toll station it is automatically deducted from the bar code of the Fastag placed on vehicle .
3. You don’t have to keep it at any safe place like the earlier toll plaza cards , now it is just a copy of the tag which is to be taped or sticked to the main screen of the vehicle.
4. No additonal checking or stoppage of the vehicle is now permitted soon after the launching of the fastags.
